The 1977 World Sportscar Championship season was the 25th FIA World Championship for Makes. It was a series running under the Group 6, Group 5, GT, and IMSA GTX and GTO formulas. Group 6 ran their own separate races from the other classes, making for two schedules and thus two championships, with the exception of all classes running the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It ran from February 5, 1977 to October 23, 1977, and was comprised of 18 races total amongst the two championships.
