Abdullah Abdul Latif Al Othman (Arabic: عبدالله عبد اللطيف العثمان) (born 1895 died 1965) was a Kuwaiti businessman who was amongst the first to live in Hawalli. He was known for his generousity and helping the poor both locally and regionally. He started a school with his brothers called Al Othman School in the 30's. Has a street named after him in Hawalli and a mosque which he built himself in 1958, as well as Mosques in Lebanon. He also started the largest and most well-known charity in the Islamic World as Zakat called Zakat Al Othman (Arabic: زكاة العثمان) and during the days that he gives his zakat, the police has to be there to organize the people assembled to receive it, and now in Kuwaiti popular culture, when someone sees a large group assembled somewhere, he might jokingly ask "what, is it Zakat Al Othman?".
His half brother, Mulla Othman Al Othman was a great Islamic Scholar and Imam in Kuwait.
