1.
ASIATIC CHEETAH / IRANIAN OR PERSIAN CHEETAH / INDIAN CHEETAH
NOTE: The Scientific name is "Acinonyx jubatus venaticus", i.e. 3 words together.
2.
Conservation of Asiatic Cheetah Project (CACP)
This website works, I have been tracking it for 2 years, intermittantly (unfortunately quite frequently) it goes offline for maintainance it seems but it is a functioning website:
Conservation of Asiatic Cheetah Project (CACP), Government of Iran:
* http://cheetah.irandoe.org/asiatic/index.html * http://cheetah.irandoe.org/habitats/index.html * http://cheetah.irandoe.org/Call%20for%20CACP/index.htm * http://cheetah.irandoe.org/about/index.html
"This is a very important website, the most important one actually"
3.
The fate of the Asiatic Lion and Asiatic Cheetah is joined together they shared much of the same range and were found together in Asian Grasslands, it might bring Iran and India into close co-operation in the future to save these mega cats, each of the country has lost the other. So reference should be kept on Asiatic Cheetah page for Asiatic Liontoo and viceversa.
4.
I am still adding to my "Asiatic Cheetah" page, so please check it out regularly
Thanks

Thanks for adding the image on my page, when you get time later try and use a full bodied image of an adult with its sleek body. This is a cub in winter coat, possibly it is Marita, the last Asiatic cheetah in captivity (tehran zoo). A sleek hunting houndlike picture of an adult might be better. When you get the time.

- Thanks Atul. I'll help make the tax box for the cleaned-up article. Just a note, by the way: you shouldn't put [[links]] every time the word occurs, you're only supposed to put it on the first time it occurs, unless there's good reason to use it again, and there shouldn't be any [[links]] to the article that you're reading on the article that you're reading - links should be to other pages. Thanks. Ben 22:22, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Rewriting
This article is a complete mess, and needs a total sorting. I'm slowly trying to rewrite it, see my userpage: User:BenPhil/Asiatic_cheetah. Ben 10:41, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Welcome
Hi Atul, Nice to see your work on the Asiatic Cheetah page. I can understand your passion, but note that you may have to change your style of writing to match the general encyclopaedic content style. So for instance it not generally accepted practise to publicise websites, projects or authors on the article pages. The current content is not in line with general practice of articles so do note that if you do not edit it to the desired expectations, someone else will. Let me know if you need help. best wishes Shyamal 05:14, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Asiatic Cheetah
This page is just not about the Asiatic Cheetah description, it is more importantly about what is being done to save it and what need to be done to save it. I spent non stop 3 days making it and 2 years researching it, please just dont go in and delete the whole thing. You can make your own version and link it.
Thanks

+++++++++++++++++++++
This is not a general encyclopaedic content style article, I request you to please make that article from myne and post it as a seperate article and link it up. Someone is rewriting it too, see my talk page.
My article is a desperate plea, all the mentioned websites have to be be kept intact for other researchers and people who may want to write about it or make films, or talk to officials and researchers which can be reached on these websights. Also in India people dont even know if India ever had the Cheetah, they now think Cheetah is the same thing as a leopard for which they use this name commonly, and 99.99% of the more smart ones including naturalists and biologists think that Indian Cheetah is extinct for ever, but as you see now it survives...............
If you want you could just edit the english, keep all the info intact.
And ofcourse you could definately make a seperate shorter page for kids on your own.
Thanks
I know others might slash it too, but I tried.

Rewritten
Okay, here's the cold, hard truth. I rewrote the article. I know you, Atul, have a great passion for the Asiatic cheetah but this is an encyclopedia and you are welcome to set up your own website for the Asiatic cheetah. I've tried to keep as many links as possible but some just had to be deleted.
The text you had said was "Fair Use" in my opinion was not even though you had cited the source I believe it was still copyright infringment, see WP:FU for more information. Ben 22:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
