[edit] Bad Edits
I'd also like to welcome you, and i'm nuturing my optimism that your dedicated vigorous editing efforts can pay off. Nevertheless, most of the handful of your LoPbN-tree edits i have looked at are steps backward; you may not understand what you are doing. I'm not volunteering to help you get this squared away, but i'm asking you to get someone with experience working from Wikipedia:WikiProject Red Link Recovery lists to help you sort it out, and reassure me that edits like your List of people by name: Pp-Pr one and your Bea-Bem one are going to be rare exceptions in the future. Things like this happen, and you shouldn't let it drive you off. No doubt you've got a good role here ahead of you.
Thanks

[edit] Thanks for gently encouraging this poor mixed-up n00b
Names such as van Belkom do not belong on a B page because they actually start with v. I simply moved them. Relax. BeverlyCrusher 13:28, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
- You're going to have to pay attention to benefit from encouragement.
- It belongs also on B when people may look for it as if it starts with B, and if you think otherwise, you are messing with a list that you have no understanding of.
- The fact of an entry on B is proof positive that some people look there.
- The fact of an entry with Van instead of van makes it obvious some people will look on B, since Van can be a middle name.
- You didn't move it (or create the corresponding rdr's); i know that because i did, about 6 hours after your deletions of needed information.
- You need more guidance; don't find yrslf getting it on WP:RfC.
