Talk:Financier (pastry)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is there genuinely no difference between a financier and a friand, in common usage? Google Images return somewhat different kinds of almond-cakes for the two words, and in Australia a friand is always an oval cake with some kind of topping (typically one of date, berry, almond-flake, etc) whereas it seems like a financier is typically rectangular and unadulterated with other toppings. --Maebmij 04:52, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
