I added a lot of content here but I think more could be added, possibly how the Guthrie is funded and the construction of the new theater and the issues surrounding the old space. [edit] "Original" vs. "Old"
I changed caption under picture of theater at Vineland location from "original Guthrie" to "old Guthrie". Seems misleading to call what is pictured "original" since it had undergone significant changes (removal of facade, expansion of lobby, removal of 100 seats, and significant work on the stage itself) since originally built in early 60s.
[edit] Where's Tanya Moiseiwitsch?
This site currently contains no reference to Tanya Moiseiwitsch and her role in the design of the thrust stage or role in early productions. Text currently implies by omission that Rapson was solely responsible for the design of the stage itself. Bfx12a9 20:21, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] What's the focus of this page?
This page seems to be focused primarily on the architecture of the Guthrie (on Vineland and on the River), but has very little to say about the business of the Guthrie. This seems to me to be a very big omission. I plan to update this page with more information about the business of the Guthrie. Those of you interested in the architecture of the Guthrie, please post any concerns about this proposal on this page so that I may accomodate them. Bfx12a9 17:46, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Guthrie selected Rapson..."
The following text as dubious or unclear: "Guthrie selected (dubious; discuss) architect Ralph Rapson to design the new theater." All of the sources I've checked indicate that Rapson was selected by the building committee, not Tyrone Guthrie. Bfx12a9 18:54, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
