[edit] My RfA
- Thanks for the support position. However, I've decided to withdraw my acceptance because of real WP:CIVIL concerns. I will try again later when I've proven to myself and others that my anger will no longer interfere with my abilities as a Wikipedia editor. Thanks again, and I'll see you around here shortly. :) JuJube 04:26, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] thanks
Thanks for the welcome. I'll start it slow since I just joined. Just one tiny change in an encyclopedia article and see what happens.MAB1970 07:27, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
My particular script does more than just rollback (it also allows me to customize the edit summary with a little popup and opens the user's talk page for me). If you want mine, you can go to User:Rory096/monobook.js, it's the first one, or, if you just want the rollback function in general, you can go to WP:TW, which is a similar script. --Rory096 07:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Al-Anfal Campaign
Hi I think we should rewrite this section if you mind me asking you this...
"Independent sources estimate 50,000 to more than 100,000 deaths; the Kurds claim about 182,000 people were killed. Amnesty International collected the names of more than 17,000 people who had "disappeared" during 1988. [2] The campaign has been characterized as genocidal in nature, notably before a court in The Hague. It is also characterized as gendercidal, because "battle-age" men were the primary targets, according to Human Rights Watch/Middle East (hereafter, HRW/ME)."
If we can add this section to it.
"This military operation, code-named the "Al-Anfal" campaign, resulted in the death of at least 180,000 people"
Source: Humanitarian Intervention: the United Nations in an evolving world order - Page 183 by Sean D. Murphy
It doesn't really sound encyclopedic due to the number of sources we can rewrite with my version on top and than add Kurdish sources since it sounds like a good starter any opinions? Lakers 04:52, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- If you can add a source from the UN that would be great. Kurdish sources are fine provided they fall under Wikipedia:Attribution#Reliable_sources -- Cat chi? 10:08, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:AIV
Well don't worry too much (a few inaccutate AIV reports won't hurt), but just as a suggestion: The best thing to do is check the timestamps. When you're viewing the diff of a revision, you can, of course, see what time it was made. You can then compare that to the time of the last warning to determine if the vandal has vandalized after the final warning. If you already knew that, don't worry about it, though. [edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Kurdistan/Participants
Dear Lakers, I think something is wrong regarding your message on my talk. I, only one time arranged participant list there, to organize participants in alphabetic order, since there is a comment there as "", nothing else. Regards. Must.T C 05:31, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup templates
Just to let you know that most cleanup templates, like "unreferenced", "fact", "cleanup" etc., are best not "subst"ed. See WP:SUBST for more details. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 17:36 2 April 2007 (GMT).
[edit] WPSS
Don't be too overzealous in placing that template.. WPSS already has a hard time maintaining categories; it is better to place them in categories that have many articles (let's say 50+) rather than small ones like Category:Turkish people of Brazilian descent. I was warned about this some time ago by another user, so I am just passing the message on :) Baristarim 01:05, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ok no worries.. Cheers! Baristarim 01:07, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:William Fuller (football player)
I respond to your comments there. Quadzilla99 07:17, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I don't think it could ever make it to FA—I just can't find anything more mentioning him than articles saying: "Fuller got 2 sacks in this game", or one or two random interviews where he states "We'll be good this year" or "I'm happy to be in Philadelphia" which wouldn't merit inclusion into the article to expand it. I'll keep expanding it if I can. I don't want to add meaningless quotes to the article or unimportant things to expand it. Quadzilla99 07:25, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Well..
Well, I know him and I know that he is harmless, really. The way he said is funny, I don't know if you know but "King is dead, long live the King" was an old French expression before the Revolution. So it was kinda funny in context :) In any case, it is a bit Point, but it was pretty obvious that it would be noticed. Nevertheless, because he was able to point out the coordinator issue out, that led to a discussion in the talk page and it was decided not to have a coordinator - so at the end of the day it was constructive: WPTR never had a "coordinator", and having such coordinator for a whole project is kinda against the spirit of Wikipedia. In fact, the user before him was also self-apointed, so it showed everyone that it was a much-ado-about-nothing at the end of the day :) Which makes his edit-summary even more witty considering the analogy with the French revolution. Listen, believe me when I tell you that you shouldn't be too worried about him - there is so much worse "gaming" going on in Wikipedia, everything from outside coordinated "ethnic gangs", e-mail canvassing, users who use multiple accounts, indef banned users who keep on resurrecting themselves just to troll and users who treat Wikipedia like a forum and post comments with the intention of creating disputes. I have been tracking two users for months who are keeping on mutating user IDs and are very subtly vandalizing Wikipedia - real trolls, in other words. Heck, I have even seen users come back from 3 years of inactivity to vote in an AfD!! If you ever see him do something too Pointy, leave a note at his talk page or tell me, I will let him know, if it is something big I will run in with the fire-extinguisher :) In any case, it never hurts to have a good sense of humor - they are just articles after all :) Cheers! Baristarim 10:46, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Check this one out for example [1] - and I know worse things that happen around in Wiki since I am also a avid Net-surfer in general, and that's saying something! Baristarim 10:49, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, I got Google Talk.. As for Makalp, well this issue did come a few months back in WP:AN, but after discussion it pretty much became obvious that he was harmless since he uses his real name and one account only and edits in such a way that will be obvious to every one - but that's not it, he does good work with templates and organization across many articles. He doesn't usually do point edits and when he does he has a good sense of humor. Anyways, as I said if you notice something serious just let me know.. So, how are things? I also do RC patrol from time to time, and I have been running into you often for the last couple of days.. Baristarim 11:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to WikiProject Trains
Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Wikipedia. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.
If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 11:08, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD for Happiness!!!
Hi there. I nominated another article written by the same user for AfD earlier, and I'm going through his contribution list to see if any others merit the same. The AfD nominatin for Happiness!!! is incomplete. Please go to the page and click on "preloaded debate" to create the articles AfD page, and then paste the {{afd3}} tag on the right at the bottom of the page found via the "log" link. If you have any questions, either see WP:AFD, or ask me. Regards, Flyguy649talkcontribs 07:21, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, hello. What's up? I assume that you sent that message for me, but it is a bit unclear. I was by no means intending to vandalize the Underoath page, I just felt that the article seemed quite out of place and did not present the situation very well. The way this all works is quite strange.
[edit] Neville Cardus
Hi. Thanks for rating the Cardus article. I agree that for WPBiography the importance should be Low, but I would have thought that for WP Cricket the importance should be Mid, perhaps even High. After all, Cardus is probably the most famous of all writers on the game. A. A. Thomson has a High rating and Alan Gibson a Mid rating, yet neither is as important a figure as Cardus. Dear Lakers,
Here my a few sentences about arguments on your post;

- User Bohater, declared himself as Lead Coordinator. Is there a need to say anything further. It was funny for me at the beginning, I posted my edit summary there "Revolution:...". - Ayran; Ayran is a definite Turkish origin drink, which is consumed in many countries. I removed WP Armenia and WP Syria tags but keep WPTR and WP Azerbaijan tags. Please see my other edit summaries here and
here. What is the difference of Armenia and Syria and other countries like as Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Hungary, Germany etc. Is it need to add these conutries project tags also here. I think this is meaningless. Please dont hesitate to contact with me in the future, I dont want to have a bad image for a positive contributor to wiki. Thanks for your time. Regards. [edit] Original Stories from Real Life
I noticed in the log that this article was passed, but when I looked to find a review as mandated in the WP:GAC instructions, I noticed your name, but no review accompanying the passage of this article. Are you saving it to finish later or something? All GA passings are supposed to be accompanied by a written review on the talk page, nothing terribly complicated, its just if people don't give an explanation, its very hard to determine exactly why someone passed an article, and if they did it with WP:WIAGA intentions or not. Plus, somebody could easily speedy delist this article on the grounds of improper passage. Homestarmy 21:14, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Btw
If you can, try to paste {{talkheader}} + {{WPBiography}} (for Bios). Thanks for your help btw! Baristarim 05:00, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
However, in the future, try to rate a bit more conservatively the importance ratings, we already have a huge workload for so many little people for WPTR!! It is even hard to have article drives for one or two articles.Maybe you can also join if you would like? Baristarim 05:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Removed comment, I had only taken look at one article - sorry :) Baristarim 05:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- No problems. Welcome to WPTR btw! Cheers! Baristarim 05:07, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, we should be done with the ratings soon. When I first came to WPTR seven months ago, WPTR was in shatters - I personally put 3000 of 3700 WPTR banners and with the help of some other users revamped the project pages including its template {{WPTR}}. Now that the ratings will be done soon, I feel like it will have become a "full and functioning" project. It is really nice, there are so many articles that need to be worked on - I can stay on Wiki for the next 50 years! I am sure that in the future WPTR will have diverse enough articles and mini-projects which will be able to interest non-Turks... Baristarim 05:17, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Traditions of Texas A&M University ranking
Hi, I noticed you rated the Traditions of Texas A&M University article as "start-class". I would like to read your rationale as to why you rated the article "start" instead of "B". After reading the criteria for "B" it seems to me the article can be a "B" or "B-".--Blueag9 (Talk) 07:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to the WikiProject Greece! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to Greece.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our sidebar points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The Announcements and Open tasks section is updated quite regularly. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPGreeceOpenTasks}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Interested in working on a more complete article? The peer review department of the project would welcome your help!
- Interested in a particular area of Greek history, geography, culture etc. ? There is already one task force, and you could initiate the creation of more focusing on specific topics or periods.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every military history article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around!
[edit] Tag removed at James McCune Smith
Hey, I removed your unreferenced tag at James McCune Smith. It looks like the only issue is the lead. Since the lead is supposed to summarize the article, it should not contain any information that is not explained in more detail in the article. All of the facts mentioned in the lead are referenced in the article, and so it doesn't really need any additional referencing. Thanks for your help in looking out for articles in need of help, this one DOES have some fixes needed, but its level of referencing is actually quite good. Happy editing! --Jayron32|talk|contribs 03:09, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
