Please rename this article Langarans because most Stargate sources classified the Kelownans, the Andarians, and the Terranians as the human race of Langara. - John-1107
[edit] Move to Langara (Stargate)
This page should be moved to Langara (Stargate), on account of WikiProject Stargate's unofficial naming convention that episodes have the name of the show in parentheses (such as Meridian (Stargate SG-1), Rising (Stargate Atlantis)), while everything else has Stargate in parentheses, even if they appear in only one series (such as Jaffa (Stargate)). I'm guessing that if the show revists Langara's submission to the Ori, we can assume that Jonas is dead because after his experience on SG-1 and the Goa'uld, I doubt that he would believe or at least pretend to believe in the Ori. Don't get me wrong, I liked Jonas but the writers explicitly said that Jonas would never be mentioned again.

The poor guy :D well, actually I wouldn't be so sure about him refusing to believe in Origin. He knew about Daniel Jackson ascension and how powerful he had become. However, he wouldn't know that the Ori don't really ascend their followers. After all, even I would believe in Origin if it weren't for that tiny detail that everything they promise their followers is a lie... But as you said, we won't ever see him again, so we will never know... Maartentje 20:20, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- I would have thought the SGC would have told their offworld allies and friends what was going on... If they knew Langara had fallen they must have had some kind of contact. --Tango 23:44, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Actually, most of the reports the SGC received about planets fallen to the Ori came from the Jaffa. Also, every time Langara contacted Earth and told them about their current political situation (like after their first use of the naquadria bomb), it always came as a complete surprise to them. And btw, I would think Jonas has a soft spot for strange religions ;) (just read the article on Corin Nemec if you don't get the reference) Maartentje 19:13, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- I can't see why the Jaffa would be in contact with Langara. Remember, the SGC has access to all kinds of subspace communications now, they don't have to dial the gate in order to contact someone, so it's much easier to keep in touch with planets like Langara where the gate is a contraversial issue. --Tango 12:38, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
The Jaffa wouldn't be in contact with Langara, no. However, they did track the movement of the Ori fleet, they knew they went to Chulak in "Flesh and Blood" and where Adria had landed in "Counterstrike". Remember, Langara and Hebridan were only two of "several" (according to Sam) worlds that had fallen to the Ori. They can't all be allies of the SGC that are frequently contacted by them.
