Talk:Laveen, Arizona
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've just tagged this article for cleanup. I think these tasks ought to be a helpful start?
- Get more Laveen-specific photos.
- Improve grammar and syntax.
- Cite more sources. I've only found one page so far.
I've worked on it a little bit but any bit helps! Panchitaville 06:27, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
I put a pic of the welcome to Laveen sign if that helps...--JayDub 06:26, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyrighted image
This page contains a copyrighted image from Google Earth (Image:Laveen.jpg) which has been put up for deletion (screenshots of Google Maps/Google Earth aren't fair use). A new image will be needed. Zetawoof(ΞΆ) 09:43, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup
I think the article has reached a point where we can remove the cleanup tag. I'm going to take it down in the next few days unless someone objects. --TrustTruth 15:05, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have now removed the cleanup tag. --TrustTruth 17:53, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Laveen and Phoenix
It's important to note that Laveen was an autonomous community for almost a century before Phoenix started annexing it. Plus, downtown Laveen is still independent of Phoenix. So while there is a city of Phoenix village called Laveen, there is also an unincorporated community called Laveen (with its own zip code) that has nothing to do with Phoenix. Let's keep that clear in the article.--TrustTruth 21:29, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, if I inadvertantly reverted your legitimate edit when I reverted the vandalism, it was unintentional. --TrustTruth 21:30, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
