Lim Tong Hai

Lim Tong Hai (b. 1969) is a defender for the Singapore national football team from 1990 to 1999.
During his football career, he played for Geylang United(then Geylang International) in the FAS Premier League as well as Tanjong Pagar United and returning to Geylang United after S-League started. In 1998, he captained Tanjong Pagar United to a Singapore Cup and Singapore FA Cup double. He was also a member of the Singapore side that won the Malaysia Cup and League double in 1994.
He scored two own goals in the 1993 Southeast Asian Games which led Singapore to miss out the final but he recovered to become a starting member of the Singapore team since.
He hung up his boots in 2004 and was appointed coach for the Prime League squad of Geylang United the following year. In 2006, he was promoted to caretaker coach of the first team and he was likely to continue to lead the team for the 2007 S-League season as he was ready to rebuild the team after years of dismal results in the league. Currently, Geylang United was last in the standings of the league.
