[edit] History
He began skateboarding at the age of 9 [3] and grew up skating Hamilton's Beasley Bowl (a park that Mark was so fond of he recently had its name tattoed on his leg). Appleyard also eventually started hitting the streets of Toronto. He also attended Lord Elgin High School in Burlington and is still a role model to many locals.
He was sponsored by C1RCA Footwear, where he received a pro model shoe. He left C1RCA in 2005 and signed with Globe Footwear where he developed his current signature model, the Appleyard Rewire.
