The following values may be used for class:
- FA
Category:FA-Class Boston articles; should only be used for articles that are currently listed as featured articles)
- A
Category:A-Class Boston articles; should only be used for articles that could at least be considered for featured article status, corresponds to the "Wikipedia 1.0" standard.
- GA
Category:GA-Class Boston articles; should only be used for articles that are currently listed as good articles)
- B
Category:B-Class Boston articles)
- Start
Category:Start-Class Boston articles)
- Stub
Category:Stub-Class Boston articles)
The following values may be used for importance:
- Top (adds articles to Category:Top-importance Boston articles)
- High (adds articles to Category:High-importance Boston articles)
