[edit] Plot synopsis
On his first case back from administrative leave, LAPD detective Michael Raines investigates the shooting death of Sandy Boudreau. As the investigation unfolds, he finds himself once more plagued by hallucinations of the victim — not a ghost or a vision, but a projection of his own compulsion to solve the murder. When Raines discovers a shoebox full of cash in the victim's apartment, he realizes that she was working as a call girl. And when a private investigator turns up dead, shot through the head, digital photos from his computer reveal a sordid arrangement between the P.I. and the call girl that leads Raines to the killer of both.
[edit] Trivia
- Luis Guzmán originally played the role of Charlie Lincoln; after shooting the pilot, he was replaced by Malik Yoba.
- The character of Detective Bobby "Fearless" Smith (Mykelti Williamson) was also an LAPD detective in the show Boomtown, another detective-series created by Graham Yost.
