I am having a hard time understanding the true meaning of racial formation. Does anyone have that book in which they can better explain the theory behind the concept, and not just provide shodddy info, and meanlingless excerpts?
Yeah, read the book that the concept comes from, it's called "Racial Formation in the United States" by Omi and Winant.

I had to heavily rewrite this page to get some of the core ideas of the book down (which were entirely lacking in the previous version).

Wait a second, this is a word by word copy from another page I googled, bu I would also say that this interpretation is a little complicated, and that you didnt write about the gramscian elements
