Rich Priske
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rich "Rock" Priske (born August 29, 1967) is a Canadian musician born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has long been active in the Vancouver music scene, and has played bass and/or written songs for DSK (band), ShoCore, Bif Naked and Real Mckenzies[1]. Most widely known for playing bass guitar and keyboards in the Matthew Good Band, he stayed on after Matthew Good broke up The Matthew Good Band in 2002 and began his solo career, although it could be argued that Matthew Good has been solo all along.

[edit] Writing
Rich is also an avid writer, contributing to weblogs as a "citizen journalist" for www.kitsilano.ca, and others. He has also contributed many technical and instructional articles to magazines such as CM (canadian musician). Currently, Rich is working on an auto-biography about his years with the Matthew Good Band, tentatively titled "The Revisionist History Teacher". Rich has a long history with the web, he was an early adopter of what is now known as "web logging" or "blogging", beginning with his popular "Notes From The Road" feature on the now defunct Matthew Good Band website, circa 2001.
[edit] Film Work
Rich has also been involved in BC's thriving film and theatre industry, on stage and both in front of and behind the camera. As well as appearing in many music videos, Rich has had bit parts in films like "Red Scorpion II", and "Hard Core Logo", and has appeared on stage in productions of "Cabaret" and "You Can't Take It With You". Behind the scenes, Rich is active in the Art Department.
