[edit] Life at St. Comhghalls
St Comhghall's Secondary School has a full programme of sports, social and cultural activities. This provides the opportunity for both boys and girls to take part in many team sports. Cultural activities such as drama, music, environment, health and social awareness are promoted within the school.
Daniel Herbet is the Head Boy. Ciara Doran is the Head Girl.
A clearly defined and well-resourced system of pastoral care and discipline is maintained in St Comhghall's, the focus of which is the welfare of the pupils. The system is constantly under review and has undergone major developments over the last few years. One-to-one pastoral care is made available to each pupil to discuss any problem he may have inside or outside school.
St Comhghall's aims to develop within each pupil a sense of personal integrity and self-discipline. The school presents a positive discipline code through which students are taught respect and moral uprightness. More important than the details of the rules, therefore, is the spirit which informs them: they have been drawn up for the wellbeing of the pupils in the school.
Each pupil has the personal responsibility to be well behaved, well mannered and orderly at all time, to show respect for teachers and other pupils, to respect the grounds and buildings, to maintain and enhance the good traditions of the school.
