Primary interests are Go, Tai Chi Chuan and related arts, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Alan Watts, as well as the performing and literary arts. VanTucky was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington and attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. His ID is a common play on the name of the city. Now residing in Portland, Oregon, he has written sporadic freelance art criticism for the Pulitzer Prize winning alternative weekly Willamette Week and is the performance section editor of the monthly alternative periodical The Vancouver Voice. Despite all appearences, VanTucky is not in fact an unemployed loser.
