[edit] Plot
Allison has dreams of a possessed woman and the murder of an old friend of Devalos. Father Armando Avilar (Robert Beltran) is found dead at the foot of the stairs at the Fitzpatrick mansion. The death is ruled accidental until Allison dreams that Colleen Fitzpatrick (Gina Philips) was standing over the body of Father Avilar and may have hit him over the head before he fell down the stairs. Colleen has been receiving treatment for schizophrenia for the past 1.5 years. Devalos is reluctant to file charges against the family, who is a member of his parish. Allison discovers that the "possessed" Colleen is actually being given doses of LSD to make her appear crazy and possessed. Colleen's husband, Michael Barlow (Steve Kazee) gives his wife a "treat" twice a day - candy that is dipped in LSD with the help of his mistress, Dr. Elizabeth Randall (Kate Levering), who is also Colleen's primary care physician. The day of Father Avilar's murder, Colleen offered one of her treats to Father Avilar causing him to have hallucinations. Michael was the one who hit the Father over the head because the Father would have been suspicious that he started to hallucinate along with Colleen. Michael did this to retain power of attorney over the vast Fitzpatrick fortune. If he had divorced Colleen or if Colleen has died then he would have received nothing.
