WJOM is a radio station which is part of the Smile FM radio network. In July of 2006, it began broadcasting from a cell tower in Eagle, just west of Lansing as a 4.3kw repeater of the WLGH signal. Because it operates from a short, 130 foot tower it currently merely overlaps a portion of the coverage area of WLGH.
The station has a Construction Permit to more than double the power to 10kw from a new taller tower. At that time it will become a class B1 station and the coverage area should be significantly expanded.
