Andromeda (Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda) est une série télévisée américano-canadienne en 110 épisodes de 45 minutes, basée sur des notes de Gene Roddenberry , développée par Robert Hewitt Wolfe et diffusée entre le 2 octobre 2000 et le 6 mai 2005 sur les réseaux Sci Fi aux États-Unis et Global au Canada. En France, la série a été diffusée à partir du 22 septembre 2001 sur TPS Star.

Alors que l'alliance interplanétaire, connue sous le nom de « République », est attaquée par les Nieztscheens, un vaisseau allié, l' Andromeda, est happé par un trou noir.

300 ans plus tard, Rebeka Valentine, capitaine du cargo Eureka Maru, retrouve l' Andromeda et tente de se l'approprier. Mais son équipage de mercenaires et elle-même n'avaient pas prévu que le capitaine de l' Andromeda, Dylan Hunt, serait toujours vivant.

Ils décident alors de s'allier afin de restaurer la « République ».
