Il mio amico Ultraman (titolo originale: My Secret Identity) è una serie televisiva canadese di genere fantastico/avventura trasmessa negli Usa tra il 1988 e il 1991.

Parla delle avventure di Andrew Clements (Jerry O'Connell), un 14enne come tanti che va matto per i fumetti dei supereroi e che un giorno, in seguito ad un'esposizione accidentale ad un raggio fotonico, si ritrova ad avere lui stesso dei super-poteri.

[modifica] I poteri di Ultraman

I poteri che Andrew scopre di avere sono:

la capacità di fluttuare,
l'invulnerabilità,
la super-velocità,
la super-forza.

Per caso scopre anche che l'esposizione ai raggi X è in grado di annullare temporaneamente tutti questi poteri.
In seguito ad una seconda accidentale esposizione ai raggi fotonici tutti i poteri di Andrew vengono potenziati, rendendolo capace anche di volare, oltre che fluttuare.
Nessuno però, oltre a lui e al Dr. Jeffcoate, è a conoscenza di tali poteri: devono rimanere un loro segreto (non per altro il titolo originale del telefilm è "la mia identità segreta").
Inoltre il Dr. Jeffcoate si fa promettere da Andrew di utilizzarli solo in caso di assoluta necessità, come ad esempio salvare se stesso o altri da pericoli.
