Andrew Stack joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as a Correspondent in December 2004, reporting from Iraq for both FNC and Sky News in London.
Prior to joining FNC, Stack worked for the ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah. Linking up with the 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion in 2003 as an embedded journalist, Stack was the only television correspondent to enter Iraq without a support crew. He sent his stories back to the States using an RBGAN satellite modem (brand new technology in 2003). Advancing from Kuwait to Baghdad with the 142nd, Stack remained alone for more than two months. His coverage earned him two regional Emmy Awards in September 2004 for Journalistic Enterprise and for Same Day Feature. Stack also produced a documentary of his experiences entitled, "R.E.M.F. Behind the Scenes in Iraq through the Eyes of a Lone Embed." This documentary included rarely seen footage of the day-to-day search for WMD.
Prior to the Iraq War, Stack freelanced for CBS Newspath in Washington, D.C. Stack holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in Mass Communication and Broadcast Journalism. Stack is a former airborne infantryman in the U.S. Army. He currently resides in Park City, Utah where he is both talent and producer of the travel adventure show, "Wanderlust."
