I understand that in the article is spoken of "the positive i". This is a meaningless expression. There is not such as a positive, nor a negative i. The equation x2 = − 1 has no real solution. We may introduce a solution and call it i. As a consequence also -i is a solution. But the solution we call i, is the imaginary unit.130.89.222.126 3. sep 2006 kl. 15:55 (UTC)
