A number of teams and drivers have expressed interest in competing, although there is no guarantee that all plans will come to fruition.
- Arena Motorsport were in talks to run two BMW 320si touring cars in the 2007 BTCC season but have postponed it until 2008 Source?

The 2008 season will again have ten race weekends with three BTCC rounds at each.
