[edit] Clarification for 8:00-9:00 PM

The article needs to say what the schematics are about. I may be mistaken but I believe Collette said she didn't know, but the article does not make this clear.

[edit] Summaries

While I appreciate the efforts to provide summaries, perhaps we could keep them shorter? --Destron Commander 03:55, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me that the summaries will naturally become shorter as the season moves on and eventually completes. Over the course of the Season it will become clear which details are necessary to allow a continuous narrative, and which details may be discarded due to their momentary value. Once the Season ends, the page will no longer be serving as a resource for people trying to follow the ongoing show and the summaries may be condensed further, probably eliminating the need to use hourly summaries at all. --Nicholo 05:25, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

For Season 5, isn't it Spenser instead of Spencer? I remember seeing it in Monday's episode. --Su2000

I have updated the episoded lists for seasons 1 to 4, as per the discussion on the now defunked list of episodes page. The long descriptions on this page will not work in the table format, which was intended to be compact. What is needed is one or two lines per episode and a complete season overview. I guess we'll have to wait until the season finishes. -- Jbattersby 10:27, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

I actually like the way the episode list is set up for season 5 so far opposed to seasons 1-4. This site is made for research and details, sure people can goto tv.com to find out the details they want but if its more efficient it should stay on here too. Anyways the way season 5's summaries are going so far they look good. Hope it doesnt change too much - Razorwave 10:28pm, February 6, 2006

Please be careful not to do a major rewrite and label it as a minor. Might've been an accidental click, but check that or append an edit note after saying its' not a minor, thanks.ThuranX 04:10, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Let's make an effort to keep character references more in the tone of the show, with CTU and 'allies' by first name, and enemies by last names. That's how the show does it, consistency will help. ThuranX 02:40, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Episode 3-4PM has been edited for length, clarity, and spoiler details not yet revealed in the show as of the date of airing.--Nicholo 03:34, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

The official site lists your "terrorist boss" as Vladimir Bierko. I'm changing it back. End of discussion.Simon Beavis

Good. Thanks for following up on that. I was pretty sure it didn't appear in the episode but figured someone would correct me if I was wrong. Thanks. Since whoever did the original summary for the episode did so prior to it's airing, it was hard to know what was legitimate info at this point, and what was 'spoiler' info.--Nicholo 03:56, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

On the name front, is there any sort of consensus on the first/last naming scheme proposed above? I certainly like the idea of consistency, but at the same time I'm unsure about the convention myself. Several of the characters on the show often seem to be referred to in a manner that runs contrary to the proposed scheme, and I'm not sure if that should bind us or not. Bill Buchanan, for example, usually seems to be referred to as Buchanan rather than Bill.--Nicholo 03:56, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

I think we should use first names because that's what's used most on the show. Jtrost (T | C | #) 13:11, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] picture

wouldn't it be a good idea to have a Season five picture on this page? It would help to make this page look better. I would do it, but i'm not very clear on the whole copyright thing. Dposse 02:10, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Air date in UK

Does anyone know when this series will start broadcasting in the UK? 81.159.6.49 17:26, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Leave the fox media info in. Goes to the speculative natuer of the show, and to a fuller reporting of known facts regarding the topic.ThuranX 03:07, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

No, that infomation is not needed. dposse 04:00, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] It is NOT known if Tony is dead yet!

Everyone, please wait until the next episode until we say that Tony is dead. I'm seriously considering protecting this article from people who keep vandalising it. dposse 04:29, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] semi protection.

This has gotten annoying. I semi protected the page because of the vandalism of Tony being dead or not. if you disagree, please discuss it here before doing anything. dposse 04:38, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Suggest 'It is unclear at the end of this episode whether or not Tony has died, and this point will almost certainly be resolved at the beginning of the next 24 episode. It is fairly clear, and may reduce the need for page protection. Skybunny 06:21, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Tony does die, according to FOX summary. Deckiller 12:37, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Fox has listed Tony Almeida as deceased on his profile - [1]...Jaguar84 01:50, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm hoping his "death" is tenative and either the team spends some of next episode trying to revive him before giving him a slient clock, or he actually faked dead in order to escape to go after Henderson or something. 130.85.91.177 14:54, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Hate to say it, but that's stretching it too far to be plausible. Tony is dead, he doesn't get a silent clock. It sucks, but that's the way the show has gone.

He's dead, get over it.

[edit] I have a problem with this.

The thing i have a problem with is that at the second that the show ended, i dont think he died. He might have died at 8:01, but at 7:59 he was still alive! You have to take into account when writing this summary the time factor. So for this article, we should put that he was unconcious. dposse 15:46, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

According to FOX's Ep Guide, he is dead when Jack is crying for help. It sucks too, because if anyone deserves the silent clock, it would be TONY! JurgenHadley 18:51, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mr. Wolff?

Chloe's boyfriend's name seems to be at issue. It's spelled differently in different capsules. Fox's own episode capsule lists "Spenser Wolff"

I should also note that Fox's site has almost minute-by-minute breakdowns of each episode from all 5 seasons on their site which might help out with capsuling this season and/or past seasons

[edit] The new pictures

Many of the newer pictures seem too dark.

Lighten or lose them!

[edit] Pictures on any article.

Everyone, we cannot have such crappy pictures on wikipedia! Almost all of the pictures are way too dark, and they don't belong here. Please, don't put a picture on ANY article unless you know that other people can see what the hell is going on in it! dposse 21:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] pictures

how are they dark? your monitor's brightness must be too low.

please start tagging your posts with your name so we can know who you are. use the "~~~~".

Anyway, i'm not the only one who thinks it is too dark. I'm pretty sure that my moniter is just fine. There is a HUGE difference between this picture and this picture.

Also, look at the difference between these two pictures:

Edgar1 Edgar2

Don't you see the clear difference between the two?

We cannot have pictures like "jack assassin 5" or "Edgar12" on this article, or any article. It's just stupid. It cannot be that difficult to take a better picture. That is all i'm asking for. dposse 17:16, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] robocop

who do people keep adding that useless trivia? does anyone really care? it was near 20 years ago... id keep removing it, but id like some input... -Xornok 18:49, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speculation

I suggest a small speculation section about the preview of the next weeks show> I don't know if this is favorable, but it mght be a little intresting. --67.167.220.191 20:54, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

We are not allowed to post speculation on Wikipedia. — Deckiller 22:46, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What's with the jewelery blurb?

"Everyone's jewelery changes?" That's quite the generalization.

i corrected punctuation errors in the summary section. is what was written true? seemed a little far fetched.

[edit] Conformity of Season pages

Season 5 is the only pages that differs from the other 4 articles abot previous seasons. i would suggest that someone looks at the previous pages and ateempts to alter this article so that it conforms to this already established format. or i will do it myslef in the next day or two.

Pat 10:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

and i just did al dat so never mind Pat 18:00, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No prequel in Region 2 DVD

I've just bought the box set in England and don't see the 10 minute prequel anywhere, unless its an easter egg, if so has anyone found it?

[edit] Listing Graham's season 6 last name in season 5 credits not appropriate

Since Graham's last name was never revealed in season 5, I don't think it's appropriate to list it here just because it is revealed in season 6. The character's name in season 5 was simply "Graham", and that's how it should be listed here. Anyone disagree? --Serge 17:51, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

just because his last name was never revealed doesnt mean he never had that last name. he was always 'graham blah blah' (sorry, dont know the name, havent caught up yet) so, it is appropriate, but maybe a note saying (last name not revealed til season 6), that way if people are looking in season 5, they know its the same person... -Xornok 19:04, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

When you find out his last name, you will realise why there are concerns ;) -- Chuq 14:37, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
I think the first mention of Graham should be changed as well, it is information that isn't revealed until season 6. People are going to expect season five spoilers here, not ones for later seasons. Any objection to removing the reveal of who Graham is? --Milo H Minderbinder 14:56, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling question

Quick question - there any particular reason to be making single-purpose edits change to British spellings such as this? Bitnine 22:51, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Nope. And WP policy says not to. Spellings should be whatever is used first in "general" articles and either british or US for subjects that are specific to one country (such as US for a show like 24, British for Harry Potter). --Milo H Minderbinder 13:38, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Episode Summaries

I've noticed that there's a large inconsistency between the episode summaries on Seasons 1-4, and Seasons 5 & 6.

1-4 have a table with a description of each summary, whereas 5 & 6 have only the links in the info box at the bottom of the page, which then goes to an article devoted to a particular episode.

Personally I think the style needs to be the same over all of the seasons, and secondly I think having a table summarising each episode in a season works the best.

As a compromise, the summary table should link to an article for each episode, just like how most other TV shows are laid on on Wikipedia. For example, List of scrubs episodes.

Do people have any thoughts on this?

-- Daedalus 12:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Assessment rating

I've rated this article as start class because it contains most of the important information about the subject but contains few inline citations. I've rated it as low importance to wikiproject television as series articles are of comparitively low importance compared to article about entire shows.--Opark 77 21:15, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
