[edit] LG 3do
I have seen a LG variation of the 3do. Although LG was goldstar it isn't the same as the goldstar version. Here's some pictures of it that I uploaded on imageshack LG 3do 01 LG 3do 02 LG 3do 03 LG 3do 04 --Kjarl Dreadnought 03:35, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- Where did you find these images? You could upload the first one and put it on the main page with a brief description of the model if you like. --Thaddius 17:43, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- I just looked at the main page and the list of models and is mentions "Goldstar 3DO ALIVE II (South Korea only)" which would seem to be the model you have pics of. --Thaddius 17:45, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I just noticed that on the second pic the 3do is dated November 1996, this brings up a few questions as the 3do was discontinued in 1995 and the console that was to succeed the 3do, the panasonic M2 was canceled in 1996.--86.140.58.40 15:13, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think it means that a certain model was discontinued in 95. But by all means do some resech and find out the truth. --Thaddius 17:57, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, 3DO Corporate was still sending out review materials to the magazine I worked with into 2006. They even sent out reviewables of Snow Job in 2006 if I'm not mystaken (I might be able to find the correspondence that came with my copy to get an exact date). BcRIPster 17:03, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] emulation
emulation needs to be covered in this article -red-x Freedo is one emulator
[edit] Links
The links section of this contains a link to a CD-i site. There's no reason for that on a 3DO article, so I'm going to remove it. Urquankohrah 00:21, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] screenshot
This page needs a screen shot of what the 3DO games looked like. I don't have a clue what the 3DO games looked like, were they untextured like the virtua fighter games, did they look more like SNES games? I don't have a clue and this page wont show me JayKeaton 03:47, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Are you talking about visual quality? From that regard, quality was almost on par with some earlier playstation games, though not quite as refined as the best games released for that console. Sound quality was on par with the Sega CD. It wasn't a bad system at all -- I got one when it first came out and I loved it. It was just horrendously over-priced. 68.189.255.6
the games look like a CD M8gen 10:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
I can take a picture of a game or two. Should it go here or on the games page? I have never uploaded a picture on wikipedia before so I may need assistance. I am also unsure if it would break any copyright laws to do so. M8gen 10:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Accessories
This article couls use a list of all accessories, brand names, features of each etc. Also, a list of cables used to connect it to the tv. M8gen 10:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CPU
The CPU was not made by Advanced RISC Machines - it was a clone of the ARM by NEC. ARM Ltd. did later buy the rights to their clone, however.
