[edit] Your edit to Drunk dialing
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Drunk dialing. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. wj32 08:29, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Make an account!
I see that your edits on Wikipedia are all good, so I suggest you create an account (top right corner of the page). That way, if your IP address changes, your edits will still be credited to you. And no, don't ask people when you're about to make an edit. As long as it's not intentional vandalism, it's OK.

[edit] Drunken dialler
Probably the best place to ask this is on the talk page of the article itself; you are more likely to find people who are actively involved with the article there. -- Chuq 07:25, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi, the important thing is whether http://www.thedrunkendialer.com/drunk-dialer.html is notable, I suspect it probably isn't, but that is just my opinion. Martin 15:03, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Hello, thank you for contacting me. I've checked the website for notability and it does not seem notable enough for inclusion as an article of its own, nor as an external link in internet phenomena. Maybe when/if it grows in popularity. But currently I do not recommend such inclusion, as other users may promptly erase it as spam. Regards.--Húsönd 16:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Thedrunkendialer.com is probably not notable enough to have its own article. As for leaving it as an external link, WP:EL says that external links should be "...useful, appropriately tasteful, and accessible to users with disabilities." The link probably does not meet the first two. --Daniel Olsen 17:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree with the above. The site doesn't pass WP:WEB and its notability as well as its popularity is somewhat hard to establish. There have been other Internet phenomena possibly more popular than this that have been rejected from Wikipedia as well – Tourette's Guy immediately comes to mind.
Thank you for making a concerted effort to gain consensus on whether or not it should be included, though. That is a trait of a good Wikipedian. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 00:03, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Omicron. Say, why don't you register an account? :-) Regards.--Húsönd 02:06, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
This does not appear in the top 100,000 Alexa-ranked websites, so it is non-notable. I would also say that the content is also unencyclopedic as per WP:WEB and would probably be speedily deleted with a {{db-web}} tag. (aeropagitica) 23:41, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- Traffic Rank for thedrunkendialer.com: 952,992. Most articles with an Alexa web traffic rating above 30,000 get deleted, which probably means this doesn't pass WP:WEB. Thanks for making a conscientious attempt at discussing before making a new page. However, judging from the traffic data it seems to be a new and upcoming website, so it may appear on Wikipedia in the future. In the past 3 months alone, the traffic rank went up nearly 4 million! With that type of popularity, it may become a true internet phenomena and might warrant a Wikipedia article. Nishkid64 23:45, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
