Adobe Creative Suite

Adobe Creative Suite is a collection of graphic design and video editing applications made by Adobe Systems.
The latest version, Adobe Creative Suite 3, was announced on March 27, 2007. This version introduced Universal binaries for all programs for the Mac platform. [1] [2] Adobe is currently accepting pre-orders for all packages and individual programs. Adobe expects to begin shipping by the end of April 2007, with the Production Premium and Master suites being released in July 2007.

There are 6 editions of the suite:

- Creative Suite 3 Production Premium ($1,699.00)

It appears that Adobe has decided to drop the following programs from the CS3 software bundles, however they will continually be developed as standalone products:[3]
- Adobe GoLive (replaced by Adobe Dreamweaver)
- Adobe Audition (replaced by Adobe Soundbooth)
It is also noted that Adobe Encore and Adobe OnLocation (formerly Serious Magic DV Rack HD2) are now included as part of Adobe Premiere Pro and will not be released as standalone products.

Adobe Creative Suite was first released in 2003. The first two versions (CS and CS2) were available in two editions.
The Standard Edition includes:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Version Cue
- Adobe Bridge
- Design guide and training resources
The Premium Edition also includes:
- Adobe GoLive
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Adobe Dreamweaver (from Creative Suite version 2.3)
Some of the components of the Creative Suite use the Presto layout engine used in the Opera browser from editions 7.0 upwards.

Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio was a suite of programs for acquiring, editing, enhancing, and distributing digital video and audio. The suite was available in standard and premium editions.
The Adobe Production Studio Premium edition consisted of:
- Adobe After Effects Professional
- Adobe Audition
- Adobe Bridge
- Adobe Encore DVD
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Dynamic Link (Not sold separately)
The Standard edition consisted of:
With the announcement of Adobe Creative Suite 3, Adobe Production Studio became fully integrated as part of the Creative Suite family, with respective products containing the CS3 version branding. The equivalent version for Production Studio Premium is the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium which now includes Adobe Flash CS3 as part of the suite as well.
