Talk:Agnihotra
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Agnihotra is a process of purification of the atmosphere as a cumulative effect of various scientific principles harnessed to give rise to an unparalled purifying and healing phenomenon.
Agnihotra Yajnya has its origin in the Veda. Veda is the most ancient treasure house of knowledge known to humanity.
The word Veda comes from the sanskrit root ' VID' which means 'to know'. Veda means 'pure knowledge'. This knowledge is given at the time of creation for the entire humanity. Hence it is universal. It is the invaluable treasure of all irrespective of caste, creed, religion, sect, colour, creed or country.
The knowledge contained in the Vedas is vast and unfathomable like an ocean.
The great Yogi-Seer and Param Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj ( Shivapuri, Akkalkot ) generally referred to as SHREE has expounded the teachings of the Veda in the simplest manner. He has explained the essence of Veda in the form of The Fivefold Path i.e. Yajnya, Daan, Tapa, Karma and Swadhyaya. He has emphatically assured that this is the royal path of liberation.
The Five principles of happy and peaceful living are: 1. Perform AGNIHOTRA ( Yajnya ) for purification of the atmosphere. 2. Practice DANA for cultivating non-attachment. 3. Practice TAPA for fruition of your aspirations. 4. Practice KARMA for self purification. 5. Practice SWADHAYAYA for liberation.
SHREE has ordained the practice of daily Agnihotra in the simple and universally practicable manner. This process is the revelation of Param Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj of Shivapuri in India.
