Andrew Fred Cook, Jr. (2 January 1920 – 4 November 1942) was an officer in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
Serving in the field from 10 May 1942, he was promoted to second lieutenant 14 July 1942. He was killed in action in the Battle of Guadalcanal 4 November 1942, receiving the Navy Cross for gallantry and self-sacrifice in the action in which he gave his life.
The high-speed transport USS Cook (APD-130) was named in honor of Lt. Cook and his brother, Sergeant Dallas H. Cook, USMC, who was also killed in action in 1942.
