Hello there,
I couldn't register under my preferred nickname, since it's already in use, hence this ugly combination of letters. (Sigh!) I've actually moved over from a sisterly wikipedia, where life is more placid. English wikipedia already has too many writers, not enough readers (as in the old joke that I cannot repeat here), or so it seems. Still, this doesn't mean that there is no room for improvement. I left some comments about the recent buzz about the so-called mapping (a misleading and unfortunate choice of terminology) of the real Lie group E8 on the corresponding talk page. Arcfrk 04:55, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
I usually motivate my significant edits with detailed explanations, and sometimes probe the intentions of other editors ahead of time if conflicts may be anticipated, but may not do so in the future. It takes up a lot of time, produces very little feedback, and, most unfortunately, has even been used to justify a not-so-subtle personal attack against me. Arcfrk 19:06, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar | ||
This Barnstar is hereby awarded to Arcfrk for some really outstanding comments made in the discussion on Hilbert Space and how to make the intro more accessible. Excellent advice, especially from someone who has apparently just arrived. Welcome! If your contributions are all this good, you'll be a significant force for the improvement of Wikipedia. *Septegram*Talk*Contributions* 21:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC) |
