Talk:Athlete's heart
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've not come across any evidence that left-ventrical hypertrophy causes high blood pressure in athletes. Is there a citation to the contrary? The consensus seems to be that Athlete's Heart is a benign adaption to exercise, with the main obvious sympton being a reduced resting pulse (< 60bpm), and not a medical condition that needs treatment. There appears to be no correlation with elevated blood-pressure at rest.
