[edit] Definition of category
Does the definition of this cat include bands that had/have a female lead singer, but also have a male lead singer, such as Hazel, Ida, or Low? Badagnani 21:23, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
I would say yes. (I made this category, yay) --Macarion 06:11, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- -) I agree, if the singers are both truly equal. Why not put a sentence defining just what you have in mind in the category itself? (just click to edit in the category page). Badagnani 06:19, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] How about this?
What about Crisis, a heavy metal band? Karyn Crisis is their lead singer. And Vixen is an all-female band. Shouldn't they be involved in this category too?Mr. Brain 03:26, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Feel free to add what should be there; this is a collaborative effort. For now, I've added Crisis, Arch Enemy, and Vixen; all good suggestions. Badagnani 05:17, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Organization by Genre
I'm thinking these bands need to be organized by genre, as the header says. The reason is, there are plenty of metal bands with female-fronted vocals. Arch Enemy, After Forever, and Judas Priest (just kidding) being good examples- and I know there's plenty of other bands that fall into, say, punk or what-have-you. I ask because someone over at metal_mp3 (metal sharing community on the good old LJ) asked for female-fronted bands that weren't all folksy or goth or what-have-you, and most of us could only think of Arch Enemy, so I decided to have a look and because my attention span isn't what it used to be I don't want to dig through this entire category to find any bands to suggest. 72.49.117.53 04:32, 30 October 2006 (UTC)dethtoll
- This category (as so many here) is useless. And it's not consistent with related categories that speak of musical groups instead of bands. --Neofelis Nebulosa (моє обговорення) 16:11, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
