Benjamin Balint

Benjamin Balint (b. 1976) is a literary journalist and editor based in Jerusalem. His reviews and articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Commentary, the Weekly Standard, the Claremont Review of Books, the American Scholar, the Wilson Quarterly, National Review, First Things, the Forward, and Haaretz. His essay on Tony Judt appears in The Jewish Divide Over Israel (Transaction Press, 2006). Balint served as assistant editor of Commentary, and is writing a biography of that magazine (Palgrave, 2008). He is a fellow at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem.
