Bilibino

Bilibino (Russian: Били́бино) is a town in Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia, located at the confluence of the Karalveyem and the Bolshoy Keperveyem Rivers (Kolyma's basin) 653 km north-west of Anadyr. Population: 6,181 (2002 Census). The town is home to the world's northernmost nuclear power plant opened in 1976.
The construction of the settlement started in 1955. Town status granted in 1993.
