[edit] Is obsidian studios and Bioware friends or something?

- BioWare has decided to only make games of their own Intellectual Properties (i.e. games based on settings that they created themselves). Since they are much bigger and more popular than before, they were probably getting tired of being ordered around by Wizards of the Coast (for DnD games) and LucasArts (for Star Wars games). Whoever has the IP can decide what is and is not in the game. Wizards and LucasArts blocked several of BioWare's ideas for the games for one reason or another. Therefore, BioWare went off to create their own settings (Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Dragon Age) so that they could do what they want without being "moderated" by another company. --DarthMuffin 02:54, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jade Empire 2
If this game is only rumored to be in development, then why is it on the billing of the BioWare Games template? That's unencyclopedic, but I'm not going to remove it because I don't know if it is more than rumor as of now. Treima 14:41, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've looked around and I can find no mention of BioWare saying they are defiantly making or not making a JE2. Although they are working on an unnamed next-gen title which probably is it. Anyway, if no one minds, until it is confirmed I'll remove it from the list. Auxfusion 13:59, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Incoherence in the game listing
The list has NeverWinter Nights: Kingmaker (which is a premium module) but not the other premium modules (Pirates of the Sword Coast, Wich's Wake, ShadowGuard and Wyvern Crown of Cormyr). It should be removed. --DarthMuffin 02:59, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Last unnamed title
See [1] second to last answer. The titles in development are Dragon Age, Mass Effect, an MMO, a DS game and another unannounced next generation game in the works
