Boarding (transport)

Boarding is a term to describe the arrival of passengers onto a vehicle, mostly used in public transportation. Boarding procedures are done within a minimum period of time to save time and money.
It starts with taking seats and ends with the closure of the doors. In aviation, several steps are common for boarding: At first, the check-in at the passenger terminal, secondly the check-in at he gate followed by stepping in the aircraft cabin. Any step is supervised by airline personnel.
