Castellabate is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy.

Even if Omero points out for first to the coasts of Castellabate, the history of this territory is tied above all to saint Costabile Gentilcore, IV Abbot of the Ss.ma Trinità di Cava de' Tirreni.
