Chandauli, also known as Chandoli, is a town in southeastern Uttar Pradesh state of India. It is the administrative headquarters of Chandauli District.

khedaru rai ,freedom fighter, first person to launched the individual satyagrah on the call of mahatma gandhi from jamunipur village of chandauli in 1942 and faced the riddle of bullets of british officials and injured at the tehsil though survive and imprisioned for two years.
