Charles McCaskey

Charles McCaskey, born in Idabel, Oklahoma, of mixed Choctaw and Cherokee heritage, is a Cumberland Presbyterian Minister. He was ordained by Choctaw Presbytery. A chaplain, McCaskey retired from the United States National Guard as a colonel after 34 years of service. In 2003, he served as moderator of the Cumberland Presbyterian General Assembly in Knoxville, Tennessee, the highest elected position in that denomination. For a number of years he served as clerk of Tennessee Synod of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He also serves on the Commission on Military Chaplains and Personnel and as the Army ROTC chaplain for the state of Tennessee.
McCaskey holds a Master of Divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in New Testament Theology from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
