Charles Steggall

Charles H. Steggall (born 3 June 1826 - 7 June 1905) was a British hymn writer and composer.

Charles Steggall was the son of R. W. Steggall, Steggall was educated at Cambridge where he studied at Royal Academy of Music under William Sterndale Bennett until he himself became a professor at RAM.
[edit] Later career
Charles worked as an organist for many parishes such as; Christ Chapel, Christ Church and Lincoln's Inn. He was an examener for the DMus degree.
