Hello Chessphoon and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

[edit] 0/0

~User:Andrew Fuller Chessphoon, that page isn't about \frac {0}{0}. It is about indefinable numbers. It goes into things that has nothing to do with \frac {0}{0}. That is why I made the new page just about \frac {0}{0}. Don't redirect it, I will just put on \frac {0}{0} the two helpful pages. And I will put on those pages a helpful page: \frac {0}{0}

[edit] Husker007

Perhaps I need to further edit the page then, it's about an author and his humor books, perhaps I didn't make that clear, as it most definitely fits the standards, I will rework it over the next few hours. Thanks for the tip. Husker007

I don't consider the article humorous, please read what I wrote next time. The artical is about an author and his stories, I am changing it to better reflect that. This isn't vandalism any more than the artical on Douglass Adams is. Husker007

If you have a personal problem with me, I suggest you speak with me to deal with it, rather than carry out an insane vendetta Husker007

Human Article

Not vandalism, see disscussion.

You need to read the article on what vandalism is not, as you obviously have no clue Husker007 17:20, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for asking for the citation, one was spotted in July of this year, and the original last sighting date was the 1970's not the 1990's as I had believed. In the future, I would like to request that you also cite your sources, as you seem to be a dubious editor. Often reverting articles for no reason. Husker007 18:05, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Why not talk to me about your little problem than letting it deteriorate into an edit war? Please talk with me about this. Husker007 18:13, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Jerry Remigius Kanagarajah

You voted and made a statment "Non-notable. --Chessphoon," DID YOU DO ANY RESEARCH YOU JUST STATED "Delete" wtih the factual basis THIS IS NOT FAIR WERE WAS YOUR RESEARCH ? you did not state any ? How can you make a decision without looking at the facts, if you did not take your time to look then you have No RIGHT TO VOTE ! If you look at the facts, Prince Jerry Remigius Kanagarajah is legitimate The Official site is http://www.jaffnaroyalfamily.org also he is recongnized by The Southeast Asia Imperial & Royal League

Notable Members of the The Southeast Asia Imperial & Royal League

  • H.R.H. Prince Shwebomin of Burma
  • H.R.H. Rajah Jerry Remigius Kanagarajah of Jaffna (Sri Lanka)

I am sorry that you are not aware of Southeast Asian Royalty but who is to blame ? That is what this site is about education and spreading knowlegde to the world. If the Southeast Asia Imperial & Royal League have done their research and their council has admitted him as a legitimate then there was a adequate background check on his lineage. I only ask for fairness. Please re-evaluate your vote. tranvanba 5:31, Sep 12, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect rather than delete

Hi. I noticed you marked Just betzer as a speedy deletion candidate. Duplicate articles should instead be replaced by a redirect to the "proper" article title. You can do that even without being a sysop :) Thanks! — Timwi 19:09, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip. I had thought about redirecting Just betzer but it was just created and nothing links to it and it isn't really a useful article since it's a variation with the last name lower case, something that isn't likely to be searched for. --Chessphoon 19:12, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Actually it's extremely likely to be searched for ;-) — Timwi 19:14, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Babette's Feast

We cannot accept the "typographical apostrophe" character you are trying to use in the article title "Babette's Feast". This has technical reasons (it is not valid ISO-8859-1). Hence I have moved the page to the title with the conventional apostrophe. Please use that page instead. Thanks :) — Timwi 19:15, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I think you meant to send this message to a different user :-) --Chessphoon 19:19, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Oops, I apologise :) — Timwi 19:21, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Johne's Disease

Hello. I wanted to let you know that the Johne's Disease page is going to be re-inserted. The Virginia page you cited is almost an exact copy of the USDA page. The USDA is a federal agency, and copyright law prohibits the federal government from holding copyright on anything, therefore the USDA page is eligible for inclusion in Wikipedia. Thanks. [edit] Changing color of text

How do you change color of text in a Wikipedia article?? Please show all of the following:

  1. How to make text red
  2. " " orange
  3. " " yellow
  4. " " green
  5. " " cyan
  6. " " blue
  7. " " indigo
  8. " " violet

66.245.118.119 02:03, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

To change text color just use the <font> tag (like in HTML), so to make the text test red, use <font color=red>test</font>. Typically, though, font color isn't changed in articles, though it is used on user pages and signatures. --Chessphoon 02:07, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Let me try a few examples:
  1. red
  2. orange
  3. yellow
  4. green
  5. cyan
  6. blue
  7. indigo
  8. violet

Any other colors?? Feel free to add them into the above list. 66.245.118.119 02:17, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

You can use practically any color by specifying its RGB value like this:
<font color="#RRGGBB">text</font>
Many additional color "words" you can use (like teal, pink, etc.) are available on this page: Web colors. --Chessphoon 02:21, 18 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}

OR

Option 2
I agree to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all my contributions to any [[U.S. state]], county, or city article as described below:
{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" with "{{MultiLicensePD}}". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Stem Leaf Plots

I have created a stem leaf plot as part of the List_of_highest_mountains#Stem_and_Leaf_Plot. See if it could be improved or is appropriate, or could be explained better. I thought it would be better above the main list, but it got moved down again --Muxxa 23:34, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
