Christopher James Lucketti (born September 28, 1971 in Littleborough, Rochdale, England) is an English footballer.
He is a highly rated centre-back, and currently plays for Sheffield United.
Lucketti started with Halifax Town and made 78 appearances for them between 1991-93. In 1993 he moved to Bury where he made a total of 235 first team appearances. In 1999 he joined Huddersfield Town and made 76 appearances for The Terriers.
Lucketti moved to Preston in a £750,000 deal from Huddersfield at the start of the 2001-02 season and he played over 200 times for the club. In the 2004-2005 season he formed formidable partnerships with both Claude Davis and Youl Mawene in the Preston defence, helping his team to the Play-Off final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
In March 2006, Lucketti joined Sheffield United for the remainder of the 2005-06 season, making 3 first-team appearances before signing a one-year deal on June 1, 2006 with the Blades with both clubs agreeing to a fee of £250,000.
On January 13, Lucketti made his Premiership debut at the age of 35 against Portsmouth. He has managed to keep a place in the starting line-up, keeping out skipper Chris Morgan after his return from suspension.
Lucketti was once the subject of a Knighthood campaign which had the backing of many loyal Bury fans and many of Lucketti's ex-team-mates. Sadly, nothing ever came of the Knighthood for Chris Lucketti campaign.
