[edit] This article
This is at least the third time this article has been recreated. I urge you to read WP:COI as your talk page message indicate that you represent the subject of the article. janejellyroll 06:58, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
I indicated that Christine Anderson has given me her EXPRESS permission to create this Wikipedia article for her. I did not realize that I could not use the text from her website, so I deleted that.
The article up there currently contains ONLY facts and it was written neutrally.
IS there still a problem?? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Prolixprolixity (talk • contribs).
Christine has released two albums already. She won the Los Angeles Music Award for Composer of the Year. She's signed with MTV. She's notable enough for Wikipedia, isn't she?
The album she is working on now is called "official debut" but it is actually her THIRD album. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Prolixprolixity (talk • contribs).
- Try taking a look at WP:MUSIC where the guidelines for notability are discussed. It might help. janejellyroll 07:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Please read WP:MUSIC. If someone else agrees with you, they will remove the tag or improve the article so that it's clear that she is notable. That's how prod works. Generally, winning a local/regional music awards show and releasing 2 albums independently or on independent labels isn't enough. If that was the criteria we used, we'd have to include just about every local band/musician that there is. And the article doesn't make clear what "signed with MTV" means. Just appearing on MTV isn't enough to have an article either. And the links provided make it sound like she's been featured once or twice. Is she close to being notable enough? Yes. But I just don't she is right now. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 07:29, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Let me be clear: Christine has been the subject of a "CHRISTINE ANDERSON" feature on MuchMusic, a 30 minute documentary all about her. They wouldn't do that if she wasn't notable. She has also been featured on a show about her and her music, with her performing, on MTV. When I say Christine "Signed with MTV," I mean that MTV sent her a contract, which she has signed, and now MTV uses her music for the theme songs of MTV shows. If you watch MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" you will hear Christine's music. They are using her music for other shows too, but that is just one example. She is in rotation through Clear Channel, and that is significant! For an independent artist, this is serious stuff!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Prolixprolixity (talk • contribs).
