[edit] Dominion of Melchizedek Request for Comment
You have shown some interest in Dominion of Melchizedek, so I wanted to let you know that I created the following RFC. Bollar 13:47, August 6, 2005 (UTC)
*Talk:Dominion of Melchizedek (Also Malpelo Island, Clipperton Island, Bokak Atoll, Rotuma, Antarctica, Microstate, Dominion, Micronation) - POV over the validity of Dominion of Melchizedek's sovereignty, and claims over numerous small islands in the Pacific plus Antarctica.
[edit] Abortion (Death?)
It was I who put in the disclaimer on abortions of fetuses sure to fail and cases where the mother's life is in danger. Someone took it out and someone put abortion back in. You ought not to use the imperative mood with peers. It is rude. Pdn 03:18, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
OK - thanks for kinder words... Pdn 06:21, 29 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Since you posted earlier saying that the title should be changed, check out the discussion page. There's a request that the movie be given a separate article and the book the main article. --DrBat 22:48, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Bommersvik
I enjoy marking silly entries for deletion. Please make sure first that they are silly and please always use {{db|reason}} (or one of the many other specific tags, eg. nn-bio) rather than a crude {{d}}.
What, pray, was wrong with Bommersvik that could not have been solved in time? You slapped a delete tag on that article within two minutes of its first appearing. I call that biting the newbies big time. -- RHaworth 07:46, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism if your userpage
Congrats! Your userpage has been vandalised for the first time! (I think. You should keep score). I have taken the liberty of removing it :)--inks 02:22, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Emu Bay shale
Yikes! gimme a break here. I edit the page, I sneezed and it was marked for deletion. Its a good page! PAR 21:53, 30 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] whale predators
I can't think of anything which could predate a whale, even a baby one. Killer tuna? Kamikaze seagulls? Adam 04:56, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
I have checked several sources and they say that while the blue whale has no predators besides man, smaller whale species such as the sperm whale and the minke whale can be attacked by packs of killer whales' although they prefer easier game such as seals. So I agree the sentence should be qualified. Adam 06:43, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Heya, thanks for joining in RC patrol. A tip that'll save your fingers: {{test}} is equivalent to {{test1}}. Happy editing! --fvw* 00:20, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] AfD procedure
Hi, just a quick reminder that the procedure for listing an article on WP:AFD consists of three steps. After you added the {{afd}} notice to an article (step I) and created the AfD page itself (step II), you also need to list the AfD page on the AfD log for the day, so that it becomes visible to everyone who follows AfD. The easiest way to do that is to go to WP:AFD and follow the big bold edit link at the bottom, under step III. Cheers, --MarkSweep✍ 21:14, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
Another thing: All your past AfD nominations have now been completed and properly listed. Please review the instructions at WP:AFD, which explain the nomination process. That page also describes the use of templates that will help you format AfD nominations. Thanks, --MarkSweep✍ 21:41, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] List of Religions
I made a change on the list of religions. I added a new religion of Direct Worship of the Actual God, which has a corresponding wikipedia page. I was shocked to see this had been removed from the list, and I suggest you add it back please. It IS a religion, and it does have a link page with a good detailed article. Kindly replace the same.
[edit] What you wanted to talk to me about...
Either this is sarcasm, or you are serious, and looking at it from a philosophical point of view. Let me know which one, and I will respond. The Wookieepedian 05:56, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
- No, thankfully Star Wars isn't Star Trek! I shudder! But, anyway, we are the ones viewing it, and he has specifically referred to who he expects to view the films, and they aren't going anywhere. On that disambiguation page, I was only giving an exact reference, relative to our galaxy, not saying that it was specifically meant for us. I was only making it easier for the reader. The Wookieepedian 07:22, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Yes, you are indeed a poor editor.
Dear Sir.
My group of fellows in our gaming clan known as MONG initially posted a definition of "us" under Mong's entry in a humorous fashion.
However, by deleting it TWICE, you have shown yourself incapable of possessing the freedom of thought that a user-definable encyclopedia's editor should have, and thus, have thrown the gauntlet.
Our group, around since 2001 and still going quite strong, is a staple of the Northern Virginia area lan-party scene.
We request that our entry be allowed to stand. We will accomodate suggestions on phrasing and content, and perhaps editing, but we will not tolerate being deleted.
Also, we will not tolerate the arrogance of a 17 year old deciding whether or not our entry shall stand. Pass this one onto your boss (I look forward to his or her correspondence)and try to graduate high school before you blindly censor anything else.
My clan will decide on an entry we like, and your superior may send us some guidelines, which we, in good spirit, shall honor.
Regards, J.G.Lee

[edit] death/abortion
Just wanted to know why did you revert the death page to include US abortion info, thats all. Thanks. 68.163.103.9 04:33, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] David Duke
I see you found a way to salvage that sentence, which I could not, hence its removal. Good work there. — FREAK OF NURxTURE (TALK) 08:05, Dec. 29, 2005
[edit] ................(OO)
.........u go around fixing this website.......(OO)wow how u know when someone changes something....?
You are an Idiot. You deleted a definition posted by a man who was there at the origin of the CHI(Chinese)and NK(North Korean) mapping names. And in spite of your "quoted authority" that map name was the FIRST use of the term CHINK during the Korean war. Enjoy your erase power you little high school fraud. The least you could have done was let the difinition stand and be subjected to real critical comment. You might have learned something.
[edit] Fetal Deaths or Controversy
Can you comment on the new section title of the Death article please? A user is claiming consensus for "Controversy". I think "Fetal Deaths" is more accurate. rossnixon 01:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, it was just that we reached the consensus of using "Controversy" by JoshuaZ after he, BenFranklin and I were trying to end an edit war where Ben was claiming POV towards pro-life by adding in abortion statistics. "Controversy" is vague, but I just want a title that won't provoke any dissent from "pro-choice" or "pro-life" sides. Although the edit war we had with BenFranklin was counter-productive, it did show us that there are some pro-whatever crusaders that will point out any implication (like with User:205.188.116.130's comment), and in my mind, titling the subsection "controversy" says little, explains enough, and implies nothing. I am open to better ideas, but mentioning "deaths" will probably keep some people angry and start another edit war some time from now. I might be way off on that prediction, though, because I've only been on Wikipedia for about 6 months, so my knowledge of long-term implications here is limited. Do you think something with "deaths" in it will provoke an edit war?--The ikiroid (talk parler hablar paroli 说 話し parlar) 00:13, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
OK, that's cool, then we'll just keep it at "prenatal deaths".--The ikiroid (talk parler hablar paroli 说 話し parlar) 18:32, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copy/paste move of El Nino-Southern Oscillation
Hi! I saw your edits of El Nino-Southern Oscillation and El Niño-Southern Oscillation. Please do not move pages via copy/paste. You can read Help:Moving a page for how to properly move pages. In addition, while there is discussion about potentially moving this page to the version with the tilde (see Talk:El_Nino-Southern_Oscillation#Requested_move), please do not move this page until this discussion is completed. If the end result of the discussion is to move the page, then it will likely require an administrator to move the page properly (and preserve the edit history), since El Niño-Southern Oscillation already exists. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 17:15, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
Good point about the Hot Karl article. I'll update it with info on the artist.
[edit] Dog Meat
I don't actually believe the dog meat article is thinly veiled western supremacism, but it is POV. It needs to fit far better with other meat and poultry articles on wikipedia and contain more than a passing glance at the actual eating of dog (the only referenced dish I know of is bosintang, and there's no info on cuts of dog meat).
[edit] Radio Blagon
Hi, I saw you participated in pages related to radio. I just wanted a little bit of help to correct an article I've tried to translate from French. It's about a French independent Internet radio called Radio Blagon. My english is not perfect, so I make a lot of little mistakes. If you have a bit of time to have a look at the grammar, the spelling and the general style of this article, that would be great. Thanks, Ajor 18:53, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tapatío Slogan
Quite independent of your request, I added a rough translation of the slogan of Tapatío hot sauce. The phrase is a little idiomatic as slogans often are, but my best guess is "The sauce that's... very saucy!" -- Dgies 06:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Should Jerry Klein Islamophobia experiment be deleted?
As you have contributed to the Islamophobia article, please consider visiting Jerry Klein’s 2006 Islamophobia Radio Parody where Jerry Klein acted as if he was for forcing American-Muslims to wear special identification marks, similar to the Jews in Nazi Germany. This was to gauge his audience’s reaction and he was shocked by the calls he received. It is currently being debated if the page should be deleted. Please read the article and vote at [1]. Thank You.Wowaconia 01:09, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pushing the "Lord's Prayer" as a language example tekst
Hello Citizen, In the Dutch Wiki I am having a really heavy fight on the removal of the "Lord's Prayer" as a language example. A couple of religious persons are not interested in motivation or real arguments (they don't have any). So a Moderator blocks me every time for something which is not in essence anti-Religious. I exchanged the prayer for the first 3 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In older fights I quoted a professor of history regarding a saint, also on the English Wiki I've added another view, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Saint_Boniface. I would like to learn your opinion on the use of "Lord's Prayer" as a "neutral" language example tekst. Cheers Bornestera 21:37, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
