[edit] Spore (video game)
Someone really needs to run through this and correct all the references to the proper style. Also could do with a bit of structural attention. --163.1.165.116 18:14, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
I have corrected references to use the <ref> tags, but they could still use some attention (most are not detailed, for one thing) and may require some of the reference templates. --86.3.33.104 18:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
I made a lot of good corrections to this article, but the changes seemed to induce an army of watchers who converged on the article to provide a swath of edits, essentially making my job harder than before. I give up on this one. Not worth it for something that has not even been published. Sorry. --Otheus 14:05, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- The article needs massive condensing in my opinion. The game isn't out: and the article is huge. Yes it's a massive game with alot to do, but that certainly doesn't justify a long article (way before the game is even out!). When the game comes out: I can somehow bet the article will be split into lots of other articles (which is helpful in some cases, but in other cases it's just a temporary solution. As the main article will still get cluttered with lots of information). Remember: encyclopedia, not a guide to every detail ever. I think that might be part of the problem with the article: a person sees something about Spore, adds it... and another person does the same, and so on. RobJ1981 16:56, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Some comments from the GA review process:
- Lots of one sentence paragraphs.
- Short sections
- Big lists (terraform/galactic phase)
- Fair use images, could use Free use images
- Image captions suck
- External jumps in image captions
- References before punctuation
- References don't use templates, some are just URLs

- The article is far from GA in my opinion. The game not being out is part of it, but overall: it's a long crufty and cluttered article. More on how I feel is listed above. RobJ1981 08:32, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- (cross posted from article's talk page) While a bit of planning is in order, it's probably better to wait until after the game is released. As for some time after that, this article will probably see hundreds of fan-cruft type entries. All our good work will go out the window (I believe) --Monotonehell 01:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
