Cordón Caulle is a fissure vents system located in Los Lagos Region of Chile. Although Cordón Caulle is sometimes listed as part of Puyehue volcano, it is tectonically and magmatically distinct from Puyehue.
In May-July 1960, a great eruption of the volcanic massif closely followed the Great Chilean Earthquake.
