Daniel Kahl

Daniel Kahl (ダニエル・カール; born 30 March 1960 in Monrovia, California) is an American of German descent and a famous foreign TV-personality (gaijin tarento) in Japan. He is famous for speaking fluent Yamagata-ben, the very rural dialect of Yamagata Prefecture. He mainly works as a television reporter for human interest stories in Japan (travel programs, gourmet programs, and the like). On occasion, he has also been asked to act in dramas and comedies, and has even appeared in the 1991 movie "Godzilla versus King Gidora".
