Born as Radojka "Rada" Adžić, she grew up in Satelit, a neighborhood of Novi Sad, Serbia. Her parents moved to Novi Sad from Derventa, Bosnia-Herzegovina before Rada was born.
She is in a relationship with controversional, currently jailed businessman who goes by the nickname Laki. They're planning to get married and have 2 children.
Bubamara has also been in the public eye due to her catfights with another Serbian turbofolk songstress Jelena Karleuša.
