David John de Lloyd

Dr David John de Lloyd (April 30, 1883 - August 20, 1948) was a Welsh musician and composer.
He was born in Skewen but grew up in Aberystwyth, where he attended both school and university. In 1905, he became the college's first B.Mus. graduate. He also studied in Leipzig and Dublin. He became closely involved with the Eisteddfod movement, and was a collector and arranger of Welsh folk music. His arrangements were published as Forty Welsh Traditional Tunes in 1929.
